I’m so SORRY that I havent updated ANYTHING on here in the longest time. Life is hectic now that I’ve moved to DC! **brief break** (Singing) “DC Chillin’….PG chillin’”. Although I don’t live inside the actual DC (I live in Silver Spring, Mo Co County wattup!), I still enjoy DC festivities every weekend. Shouts out to the gurus Christian, Heather, Gary and Morgan….life in DC wouldn’t be amazing without them! Anywho, the real world is kicking my ass and although I LOVE my job (rocketlearning.net) I haven’t had time for a THING. Well I’m done with my rant. I look a mess, hair greasy, nails chipped and eyebrows…so not done. But after training this week my beloved Diamonds comes to visit me and I’ll slip right back into LOVEland….*eyes twinkling, cheeks blushing*
When will I have time to catch my breath….when I’m laying six feet under I guess.

my lease is up on my car and i thought, “oh, new job, new car”. i went car shopping today and it was fool. ugh. totally annoying and very discouraging. i think im just going to keep sally. its not worth all the stress right now…seriously.

i dont mind bugs but i hate them in my apartment or any kind of living space. i saw a grasshopper in my closet. but at the time i didnt know it was a grasshopper. thought it was going to be a routine pick up; get some tissue, dump it in toilet, wash hands and move on. this was clearly not the case. not even 5 inches away this thing starts hopping all over the place. every time it jumped, i jumped. i didnt want it to touch me. i mean, its still a bug. and bugs carry diseases. lol. so i got the clever idea to whip out my vacuum cleaner. problem solved. lol.

im in the market for a new car and let me tell u it sucks. seriously. car shopping is not as fun when you are the one footing the bill. the bank of umukoro has closed its doors to me so alas, im out here floating on a dream and a prayer. gucci helped me find some options today and i got even more discouraged. the cars i want, i honestly cant afford and the cars i can afford are either ugly or straight bullshit that i wouldnt be caught dead in. so what to do: 1. get a reasonable car 2. call Bank of Umukoro 3. live beyond my means. i mean, and yes, i could be slightly spoiled. but so what. im used to a certain standard of living that i didnt realize would be this hard to maintain after college. i guess the smart thing to do is live modestly now so i can ball owt later.

its illegal to sell fireworks and such to the public in jersey but in cali they are completely fine. there was a fireworks stand on every other corner and people were buying them up like crazy. i was talking to one of gucci’s besties’ moms (did i say that right?) and she told me that people can spend up to $800 on fireworks. now that shit is foolish. almost $1000 just to see it get blown up? no way.
but since ive never set off my fireworks i wanted to do it and i must admit it was pretty cool. me and gucci spent our fourth together at a block party setting off our own fireworks. i was kinda sad at first about missing the huge display that im used to but the intimate setting we were in made it all worth it.
there’s something magical about kissing someone you love with fireworks going off less than 10 feet away from you…

i havent even been on the job one whole month and im already terminating people :(. def not as cool as it sounds. at all. there is a lot of responsibility that comes with the kind of power that has been given to me. i have to be sure to use it properly and efficiently. but man, this really weighing on my heart. just want to make sure that everything was handled the right way.
i have to realize that amongst the other gazillion things i do all day this is just another part of the job. a sucky one, but a part none the less. my old boss gave me some good advice when he said, “ive never fired anyone, people fire themselves…”
just remember that people.

this weekend i went to cali to spend the fourth of july with gucci, his parents, lots of extended family and his besties from elementary and middle school (the ultimate deciding factor of my approval). this was my first time meeting them so naturally i was [ f r e a k i n g ]. after the initial shock of the first few invasive questions, i was chillin lol
i landed in cali friday evening and gucci and i made a stop at in & out (this great burger place in cali) before heading to the campsite. yes, thats right. we went camping. and no, it wasnt what you would expect at all. we were totally comfortable; im talking luxury tents, air mattresses and gourmet breakfast every morning. gucci’s dad and step mom treat camping like a sport. highlight of the weekend? me catching a fish! his uncle “safari sam” taught me how to bait a worm, cast a fishing pole and reel em in! im a fast learning but nothing was happening! i told myself i wasnt leaving until i caught one and dammit i did. oh where was gucci? sleep of course.
on sunday afternoon gucci and i left the campsite to head for his mom’s place. this was my first time meeting her too so again, i was nervous. but naturally, because im so damn amazing, we got along great…

So now that we are all updated (whew!) we can start getting current.
On Saturday June 12th I was supposed to head out to St. Thomas for my graduation present with Diamonds but SPIRIT AIRLINES decided to go on STRIKE the day before we left and CheapTickets.com did NOT contact me to tell me. Please do not do service with them ugh. Anyways after being slightly pissed at the airport and having Diamonds basically handle the situation I was satisfied with understanding that GOD has a pre-desitned plan and even when you think things are out of order they truly are exactly what they are supposed to be! So we re-booked our flight to Monday at 6am and decided to take an impromptu trip to North Carolina to accomplish a few most needed goals!
One, Diamonds gets his car fixed while we are away for a week due to his cuzzo CJ
and TWO, Second impressions really are better than the first. We met up with Mama and she had positive things to say about me afterwards, including that my hair and outfit made me look responsible. I am in the green for now (and now that I have her hooked she will be reeled in with my charm and wit! lol)
I feel that God really set up this weekend and that we were destined to leave for St. Thomas on Monday. Now courtesy of Mamacita Colon, Diamonds and I will have a relaxing week on the sandy beaches….stay tuned :D
